Does anyone have an unwanted Waeco lid?

Hi Everyone

A couple of days ago I was lucky enough to pick up a brand spanking new Waeco CDF40 fridge for $280....part of an end of line sale. I already have a CCF45 Waeco and this has been a great fridge over a number of years now so figured I couldn't go wrong in buying this one for the price. I intend using this fridge as a freezer and fitting it in my camper but.....it has one of those high hump lids and won't fit. The lit from from CCF45 fits (it is much less of a hump) and the CDF40 will then fit in my campertrailer. Can't just swap lids as this will require a rebuild of my in-car storage system and I really don't want to go down that path.
Now for the question....does anyone out there have a Waeco that has expired, broken, dropped off'n the ute etc and that still has a good lid that will fit? Happy to pay postage etc.

Ive got a spare lid for a CF60 (its had a small repair but you wouldnt know it!)
Is that any good to you?

Thanks Hairy - don't know about the CF60 but I will post the dimensions of the lid when I get home from work tonight.

was the repair one of those little locator lugs?
if so how did you fix it?

Yep.
Drilled out a bit of the insolation inside and filled it mith minute mend, put a self tapper in it and built it up again. Filled it up neat.

The lid is a longitudinal lift up type that measures 29cm x 46.5cm between centres of the rubber seal. The actual lid can be see at this link

You're right Tuck, but there would probably be a shortage of good lids as wasn't it the 40 litre model that buckled in the heat? Besides Waeco have an excellent warrenty system for anything broken. Perhaps a trip to an authorized repairer would find a spare lid.
