Hi guys.
Our ute is experiencing surging problems. It's particularly noticeable in 3rd between 2200rpm and 3200 at anything over half throttle. It seems like a fuel starving problem as it wants to take off but then lacks power. I changed the fuel filter and it made no difference. In fact 4th gear almost has more pickup than 3rd. I'm stumped. Can anyone help out. Thanks, Rus.

HI Russel & Mary
I had a similar problem once when I had the
snorkel fitted (2002 SrIII Patrol 3ltr). My problem turned out to be vacuum hoses fitted wrongly. By this I mean they put the hoses in the wrong order on the air flow sensor near the air filter. But disconnected hoses or poor fitting hoses sometimes cause that symptom. just MHO guys.

HI
Some off the Nissans have a inline filter at one of the banjo bolts, either at the lift pump, injector pump, or filter head area.
Cheers Axle.

A mate of
mine, had a surging problem and he tracked it down to a, " O " ring in the fuel line,,
The only problem is where,,usually near or in a filter
Also it may to
check the filter at the fuel tank,, it may be blocked
Cheers Nate
