Read a couple of posts with destructions regarding the application of said sticker, the instructions enclosed and having gone through those heady days of applying oversized Ford stickers to my old Falcons ans such, those same instructions were familiar to me...
Well ya reckon I didn't botch this job...??? Cleaned windscreen, sprayed said soapy water on windscreen and applied the sticker (before you go there, I used ample soapy water, I've done this before)... Went to adjust and flatten out the creases with a small rubber squeegee I keep for the quarter windows.
Well first pass over half of the sticker sees most of the water disperse from under it and now it wont budge a mm. I try in vane to flatten out the creases but the rest of the sticker is stuck fast. At this point I decide the job is salvageable and decide to remove the sticker. I lift the side I hadn't squeegeed yet and it's still wet with soapy water and lifts readily, as I lift to the point where I had squeegeed it breaks off like a brittle 20yo sticker. I spend the next 20 minutes with a razor trying almost in vane to remove the rest of it.
Anyone got any other tips before I order another one...???

What sticker is it?
It may already have adhesive on it and it’s just a matter of pealing the backing off it and applying it in the desired position then pealing the protective front paper peace off (If it has one) and all done
At least this is how all the stickers/ Decals I have come across are now done.
Cheers.

EO windscreen sticker... Instructions include soapy water, which I have always done in the past... It was like the sticker itself "went off"

Blue,
I cheated and cut the sticker into 3.
I cleaned the windscreen as per instructions
but didn't use soapy water.
I applied the longer Explore Oz lettering first to get it centred I just used the trusty Visa card to remove creases etc as I went.
Then applied the the WWW. and .Com bit later
Looks good and keeps with the curve of the Tritons windscreen.
Cheers Kev

Hmmm... might try that next time, I've never experienced anything like what happened today... As I said above, it just "went off", almost like a chemical reaction...

Yep
It sticks like s/!t to a blanket.
All up I have one on the front windscreen, rear window of the canopy and one on the tailgate of the trailer.

I forgot to add that you need the help of a 3 year old to assist in the fixing of the sticker.
A job that should take about 5 mins max ends up taking about 1/2 an hour as she wants to help Dad. LOL
But you have got to love em.

Luck I don't have any 3yo any more... My 2x4yo wanted to squirt each other with the spritzer bottle full of soapy water but that's all the help that was offered...

Yeah saw that post
John... I used very little soap, used dish detergent but it's a "save the world" brand my missus likes... I'm thinking it was the soap.

I got a bit confusmebubbled with all that talk about "soapy water". I was under the misapprehenionism that it was one of those stickers that simply 'floated' on and then when it was dry it just "stuck"
But when I went to fit it, I noticed there was gloo all over the back of it! So I just whipped off the backing paper and whacked it on the wind deflector on the roof rack.
It's STUCK on now - no soapy water. No probs.,,,,,,,,,,,,
A few bubbles but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Aaaww it's free, who gives a vicar's fart what it looks like!!
