Help we have just picked up a trek bwana camper trailer and taken it out for the first time. It has leaked all around the bed, down the internal walls and one of the internal doors is 6 inches too short and so the room cannot be sealed. Thus we had 3 black widow spiders come visit us at night. The internal access under the bed is not square so the lid sits up on one side making it uneven and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Rain also poured in at the
kitchen end right into the trailer. The list does not stop there as there are even more problems. We have phoned them and emailed them but they have not got back to us. As a result I have posted a complaint to DFT in
Sydney. Does anyone know if DFT can help with interstate purchases???

I assume you thoroughly wet the canvas a couple of times to expand the seams
before taking it out. Some c-t suppliers tell you to, some don't.
First time we went camping it poured down for hours but our c-t was 100% dry.
Might have gone a bit overboard by drenching it several times over a week
beforehand but it sure worked.

Yes my husband is ex army and is aware of how to care for canvas. He wet it down but it came in through the zippered seams and the velcro seams and then down the walls not through the sewn seams and was expected. The seam over the bed stayed dry and that was the one we thought would leak.
