Hi J.T, Last year we went along the oonadatta track, left the dogs and caravan home and went bush. It was a great experience, nearly got bogged a couple of times, but managed to get through ok.Arrived at Dalhousie Springs for a lovely dip in the hot springs. Then we continued on to Alice Springs. We had to travel on the old Gan railway line in places, where the road was under water.You get to meet some great people when you are traveling around, we still keep in touch with some Kiwis we met on the track, so happy travelling when your time comes.....cheers....Flower.

There are a number of different forums where people post their travel tales, and many members of these maintain their own web sites. I find these all a great read, and it all adds to my future trip planning (or dreaming).
