Afternoon all,
I am looking for a open fire hotplate which is attached to a pole. This is placed in the fire. The hot plate rotates around pole when not in use. Some I have seen have a billy hanger as
well. In
Melbourne.
Thanks rooster

Gday,
I made one similar years ago, found it was more trouble than it was worth.
If the ground was hard you need a bloody great hammer to belt the pin in and then Id have all sorts of dramas getting it out.
If it gets cold at night and you wanted to stoke the fire up it was always in the way.
I find a BBQ with fold out legs that you can pick up and move when your finished much more practical.
Everyones different though.
Cheers

we just recently were camping over the chrissy break and had a plate with fold up legs, we used this to cover the fire when it was raining, it gave the fire a chance to dry the wood a bit before we fed it in. it rained for 2 days and the son and i kept the fire going the whole time. I'll take the plate next time
Cheers with beers
