Gave the trusty steed a new pair of shoes for xmas.

Replaced the 235 wrangler AT's with 265 silent armours.

Getting a noticeable vibration in the steering around 90-95k which I haven't had before. Starting to PMO.

Tyre guy has been good and re-balanced (very little weights) and cleaned rims etc but to no avail.

His next trick is to fit some std HT's to test if it persists, as a process of elimination.

If that doesn't work he's trying a new set of silent armours!

Any ideas? Seems to be more noticeable when driving through a slight bend on the highway.

Good service anyway from Beaurepairs.

it sounds silly but, some tyres just dont go on some cars! its like the old patrol story, give it a lift and the wheel sits at 1 o'clock, change the tyres and its staight! slap a set of roadies on see if it is your steering arms etc, if in doubt though just run a set of BFG's they sought it out!! ha
good luck

Does your truck have panhard rods in the front? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panhard_rod
If yes, check the bolts are tight and the bush isn't worn.
Make sure you check the rear panhard also.
If worn or loose, they can cause vibration (left to right).
These can sometimes be overlooked...........................Keith

I see you have a Landcruiser but I do known that often on Nissan Patrols "wheel wobble" can be a problem that can't be cured by balancing the wheels off the car.

Sometimes they are really stubborn and have to be balanced ON the car.

Mine had this prob and I was gonna take it to a specialist in Perth that does balancing ON the car. But I did a tyre rotation the other day - backs to fronts and vice versa and "the wobbles wombled away" - gone,,
