I am trying to find an aftermarket Steering wheel for my Prado 90 2002 without Airbag but have not much luck with the Boss kits so far.
Does anyone of you Prado Owners have replaced the original Wheel and could give me some advise please.

Wouldn't it be illegal to remove the air-bag?

Thanks for your reply but if you read the original post , it clearly states that this vehicle is WITHOUT airbag.

Sorry mate. I read it to mean that you were looking for a steering wheel without an airbag to replace the standard wheel, which I assumed (being a 2002 model) had an airbag as standard. Can't believe Toyota still had airbags as optional equipment in 2002 ;-p

No problems.
This Vehicle was purchase for Offroad use only so that is why we did not want the airbag. you are correct , is difficult to find a vehicle without airbags these days but the replacement cost is too high if you bump something out there.
And yes , is a calculated risk but i am a careful driver.

It also depends which model you have. With the GXL's and up, you have to worry about the cruise control 'buttons' (which are on a stalk attached to the steering wheel itself).

The only steering wheel boss I've ever seen for the 95 series Prados were done by AutoTechnica, and they didn't include anything for the cruise control. You have to
provide your own buttons/switches mounting position and and associated wiring for that.

Yes you are spot on , is the cruise controll stuff that is in the way.
The guys from Autotechnica must still be on holidays , no answer on the phone but will try them next week.
Thanks for your help.
