Hi,
can anyone recommend a mechanic in
Adelaide that can overhaul the front diff. of a landcruiser?
Also looking for a reputable engine exchange mechanic, again in
Adelaide

Mate blew his 80's front diff a while back and found it cheaper to get one from the wreckers and fit. Give Nisscare (Royal
Park) a ring on 8240 0011 and ask for Brenton - he should be able to put you on the right track for an engine exchange mechanic.

I have no first hand knowledge. But
Adelaide truck and 4wd Spares (82431966)sell all the Gearbox and Diff Spares. They might be able to tell you who is good at LandCruiser diffs and gearboxes.
