I've been thinking of visiting the
Barrington Tops NP, which I've never been to before. What would be a suggestion for a
nice camping spot for the camper trailer? Sparky.

Sparky,
There are many campgrounds in this park,
check out the NPWS website for more info. We were there last year with the kids and camped at
Polblue campground with the campertrailer, plenty of room and there is a circuit walk nearby. It was school holidays and the kids made friends with kids from other families that were there. If going soon beware of snakes, we saw plenty of redbelly blacks when there. It's a nice area.

Sparky,
I grew up in this area and as stated above there are numerous
camp sites, just depends on what your looking for. Pole Blue is a good
bush camp at altitude 1526m (I think) with some excellent walks and tracks nearby. Down the other end of the Park if you come in through Dungog one of my favourites is White
Rock which has a nice creek and some excellent swimming holes. If you want full luxury then Barrington House is at the South end also, they cater for the lot but will cost a few bucks.
If your in a camper as you say then I would be heading for some of the bush
camp sites. You can get snow at Pole Blue in the winter months if your into cold wet stuff.

We were up there last year, and found a lovely little
campsite on the north-western side. It was called "Weather Station", or something along those lines. The turn off wasn't marked, but it was fairly easy to find.
It was lovely -
running creek, enough room for probably 6 seperate groups, and is nestled down in the tip of a valley which expands out into a huge grazing field.
I would rekon getting out would be interesting if it had rained, as the track was a little steep.
And the way out, if you decide to head west rather than back into the Barringtons is interesting - mud, holes and all sorts of things.
Still, it's a lovely part of the world...
Cheers,
Chris
