Truckster

I heard that it was an alternator off a VP commodore, ( 70 - 90 amp not too sure ) and an adapter plate was set up to go onto the 3.0 TD ( ZD30 ) engine.
Now how true it is is yet to be established, but if so, it makes a mockery out of the price that Nissan charge

Like you, I will want to see it too,
Cheers Mate

excuse my ignorance, but arent diesel alternators designed to provide vacuum for the brakes, or is that only on certain models??
Not having a go or trying to be smart, just 'expanding my supply of UFI'

What does a Holden Alternator cost? It would have to be cheap to make it worthwhile buggering about to make it fit,I put a Brand new Nissan one on a ZD30 for $370.00.

Hows it going Bucky,

When I had an early model Pajero , I found original mudflaps V expensive , Went to Clarke Rubber and sorted things out , Noone knew the difference !

I dont think its any benefit if you have to mess around with " half assed" adapter plates and non standard installations if you only save like 100 dollars , it may end up being a far greater pain in the long run.

Glenn.
