Forget price, What is the VERY BEST Heavy Duty Starting (Cranking) Main Battery you can get for a 2004 Landcruiser 100 series V8 Petrol, which will also have a CB and
HF Radio connected to it........Make and model of battery would be great.

Century N70ZZL4WD 700cca
Designed for just what you have described and at only around $159.00 I'd say very good value.

Don't forget to fuse the
HF radio thru a High Voltage 20A Ceramic fuse.
Not your normal 20A Plastic spade or glass fuse.
The best Cranking Battery-
well that's debatable- but I use AMARON.

The starting battery that came with your vehicle is perfectly capable of running the radios. The
HF radio only uses significant power (say 15 amps) while you are transmitting.
To upgrade and upsize it, a Century Yuasa Overlander N70ZZ would be a good option. They will cost the best part of $200, but will come with a 2 year replacement warranty, and they have been on the market for about 15 years with a very good history of reliability in 4wds.

Hi Brooka,
Only once, but that was about 8 years ago. The Delco failed between cells when it was about 15 months old on a trip which probably unfairly colours my opinion.
