If you do a search, you will find where I have done it with
mine. Think the lock does a better job than the one that is sold.
I actualy cut it out with an angle grinder and got some stainless piano hinge riveted at the bottom. I lined the lid with aluminium sheet and covered the lot with a cheap bit of carpet. A $9 lock finished the job but unfortunately the chrome is difficult to get paint stuck on it.
Been another couple of guys do similar too I think. It is a more useful size than the original
