Well done
Laura !
Got the rest of the foto's too ( thanks for the giggle )
Well you have an excuse, !!
Being extremely pregnant, you could say that your " unborn " kicked the gearstick out into nutral ,,, ( hehehehehehe )
Main thing is that only your pride was hurt, and I bet " Mum & Dad " will get some mileage out of that one,,, I know I would with our Daughter
Bye now ,, and good luck with your upcoming birth
LOL

Oh What A Feeling, I'm sure there's a TV ad campaign in there somewhere.
Glad all people involved are OK as we know bricks and mortar can be fixed.
Hope all ends
well with the repairs.
Regards Trevor.

Never mind
Laura.... the garage doors can be fixed.
What is more a concern though is that you didn't have it in reverse. If you were out bush and doing a
Hill Stall Recovery, you may not have been so lucky. It is important to make sure it is in reverse in situations like this...... if it wasn't in reverse due to a mechanical fault,
well..... you need it fixed.
Just my opinion
Brian

Glad you and the tin lids are OK. How's Mum & Dad holding up?
Landys are tougher than most think!!
Looks bad by the
pic that damage, but, to a builder it will probably be a sinch to fix.
Last year I asked my son to get the Mav out of the garage. He is used to an auto and the Mav is manual.
Well, he started it in gear and went thru the back wall of the garage along with the workbench and heaps of tools.
Over a 4 foot drop onto the back yard with eveything in his path, he was Ok, I seen the funny side with the look on his face, if only I had a camera there at the time.
Only damage to the Mav was paint off the bullbar - The garage needed a lot more work, and I was thinking about re-modeling the work area anyway.
Safe driving
Vinnie

mum and dad are fine hey...they dont even want me to pay the excess...they were going to have to pay $500 to get the roller doors fixed anyway and get an extra electric one....plus there is a leak in the roof and that if getting fixed too and a few other little things so they are wuite happy that i did it cos its only going to cost $500 instead of a few grand!!!
funny story about that Mav......ya gotta laugh dont ya...!!!

I thought the vehicle was a "Land Rover" (commonly known as a "Landy"). I didn't even think to look at the rig
pic in Diver1's
sign-off....DOH!!!
Now that I see the photo of the slight damage to the 'Cruiser, I can obviously see that the "Landy" is actually an 80 series, not a 110 or 130 etc as I had in my mind's eye........

Glad no one was hurt lady.
Good SWMBO reminded me of my attempt at demolishing the pillars between the doors two years back
Laura. I reversed into the door frame with the horizontally hinged doors open. The pillar was leaning out, the top above the doors too with the pitched roof. The insurance covered it fortunately,
well isn't that what you pay for........... Cover your mistakes.

Strees and accidents do not cause a baby to come earlier. The baby will come out when it is good and ready.
Hope all is ok.
Maybe suggest that they get rid of the centre pillar and have 1 large roller door with elec motor. That way all you would have to do is replace the busted doors.
Cheers Kev

As Kev suggested I would be ridding the two doors and have 1 big double that way you wont have to worry about the centre pilon although it probably stopped you going even further, hope there were no other cars parked in the garage besides the bike that got damaged. Dont worry bout it, can happen to any of us thats why they are called accidents. Some new bricks and doors and all will be good again. As long as no one is hurt is the main thing as said above the garage can be fixed. Regards steve M

Bad luck
My Grand mother , when she was getting on , had a bit of a moment. Thought she had her car in park but was in drive , slipped getting out to open the garage door. She fell back in the car ( Pulsar ) floored it through front and rear roller doors on the garage , dodged obsticales in the back yard then killed the back fence.
At the time thought it was a bad PITA , would happily put up with the same if she was still here.
Glenn.
