Hi all,
I found out what the twilling noise was near my accellerater pedal, the speeder cable under the dash.
Any solutions to fix it? or is too much drama to worry about it?

Gday
Just disconnect the cable and lube the inner. It is possibly dry.

Yep same as my lux need to be lubricated on a regular basis or eventually will sh@t itself and you will be up for a complete new cable. Regards steve M

You 'should' be able to pull the inner cable out, wipe it liberally with graphite and put it back in. The graphite would be better as it is dry and won't attract dirt.

As someone who used to repair speedos for a living take this advice..

You can lube with grease, but only the bottom third of the cable.

If you have greasy hands when you're finished, just wipe the top of the cable with them and that'll fix you up.

It is possible that the noise is from your speedometer if it is wearing.. take care.

Once had a guy who very cleverly made an adaptor to connect to his speedo cable that enabled him to connect a grease gun to it.

Just kept pumping that grease in until it filled the head and wrecked his speedo.

Cheers
