G'day

You'll find everything you need to know by using the search function on this forum and by purchasing a book called "Cape York - An Adventurer's Guide" by Ron & Viv Moon.

Cheers

Check the members trips and gatherings, Voxson is organising a trip up there in June. If the dates suit why not join in.

I agree with Dodgin. Get the Ron and Viv Moon book, it contains everying thing you need to know. You will still have question and there are plenty on people on the forum to help plan.

We loved
Bloomfield (Roaring Meg Falls)
Eliot and Twin Falls (Absolute must for a rest on the way up)
Vrilya Point - kids enjoyed exploring the rocks at low tide
Captain Billys landing - windy but enjoyed rocks and caves at low tide
Weipa for a taste of civilisation

how long you are going for will dictate what you can do. get the book and read it first, it will put things into perspective.

Hi there,

We have decided to travel straight through and then make a base camp up the tip for about week and then start to head back down and do the tourist things on the way home. What is there to do in Weipa as a friend of ours has done the trip quiet a few times but has not been to Weipa and said that there is to do there. janelle.
