Hi Mate,

I have owned a Paj and now own a Challenger. I have found TJM's XGS springs and Torsions pretty good. You can just do the back springs and leave front torsion standard and have it cranked up, depends on how far it has sagged already (as they all do) 50mm on the Torsions is max above standard. I would suggest you get some good shocks to match the lift also. XGS are pretty good and also the one I use which are Rancho's

Hope this helps a bit.

John,
Suggest you join up with the Vic Pajero club website:
www.pajeroclub.com.au

Has a good archive of info and 'most' of the responses you get are helpful.

I have an NJ which I like because it has less of the electronic stuff which I can't fix in the bush. Will be real problem when I need to replace it because all the new ones seem to be a nighmare for bush repairs.

cheers
alastair

Hi John, we only recently changed vehicles, we are now in the Patrol, but our last 4wd was an 88 V6 NF wagon. I put OME shocks in all round, had the torsion bars wound up about 30mm from memory and put poly airs in the rear. I didnt worry too much at the time about replacing the rear springs as we new we probably wouldn't have the vehicle that long as we always wanted to go to a larger 4wd.
Overall, the suspension was great we had it loaded up a few times on trips, and also had the Camper in tow thru places like Bendethera, Limeburners and some other areas closer to home like Araluen and Batemans Bay.Home this is of some help, cheers Laurie.

Good afternoon Pajero John.
I beleive that GQ Nissan rear springs will fit your Pajero ansd will lift it 3 aprox 3 inches. and can wind front up on tortionbars.

Check my Pajero, one year youner than yours.

LOVELLS, LOVELLS, LOVELLS. All I can say. Cheap , tough, cheap, tough.

Tough Dog strutts have never let me down, coming up for replacement and I will buy them again. A few more bucks but they are all over the TJM's I put on last time.

2 inch body lift works a treat too for that extra clearance.
