I am trying to build my box system, got the drawer made and been looking for a handle to keep it closed when not in use.

Hope I explained it :)

Where would I be looking for these, Bunnings was no help.

Tried to search this site but found only a locking type.

Thanks for any help

If you live near a Bunnings you must be near a boating store . The boat draw latches tend to be the best quality and cheaper .

rotord, thanks for your reply.

There is a boat store, i tried a plastic one that was useless, and the metal one they have was about $45 looking at 3 makes it very expensive.

The search goes on

Hello Kangas

Try Bias Boating Warehouse on 02 94283222 and ask them to describe item 4268A Finger Catch for $2.95 .

I used Southco locks, about $40 each, dearer for non-lockable ones (so just lose the keys if you wish).
They hold my doors shut but I have seen them on _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx, once shut they are nearly flush with the front of the door. They are adjustable to suit different thickness _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx and are really neat.
I think I Googled them and found the distributor.

I made my own _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx and used a window lock for the catch (I just leave it in the unlocked position with the key in it) and a plastic handle - has lasted about 3 years so far with no dramas...

Just brought some stainless steel folding t handles for my camping box, $16 each from a company called re-gas south australia. Priced elsewhere at 'specialist shops' and priced at $45 + each for EXACTLY the same product. they came with key lock also. check out there website at
