Re to post 41456 about Lake Eyre.
Will the record rainfall at Bedourie and heavy falls at Urandangie, Boulia and Birdsville eventually run into Lake Eyre. I suppose only time and continuing rainfall in those areas will tell.
Bedourie : 169 mm
Boulia : 77 mm
Urandangi : 32 mm
Birdsville: 38

It is in the right water course. Flooding is only described as minor and moderate at present, so I wouldn't expect big things yet. It is however raining in the Gulf now, so we will have to wait and see how much rain the Gulf region and western QLD continue to get.

Have to hope the SW Qld cotton farmers don't "harvest" all the flood waters for their evaporation pond like storages!!
