Yea- fair enough mate....but I'd bet the stink boat with the twin V8s doesn't run on the sniff of an oily rag!!!
Just for interest sake- what would the fuel consumption be???

When cruising it's barely ticking over so fuel consumption is surprisingly good, but as you'd imagine with both V8's running flat out it develops a thirst. Modern fuel injection and engine management systems make for a vast improvement over the older carburetted V8's. Not the sort of boat you'd build for practicality though.

Plenty of sailboats around too BTW, just having fun.

When SWMBO of 20 years feels the need, I get a;

"What would a girl like that want with a man like you???"
And just as I'm feeling a little put back in the box, she slams the lid shut with a:

"A father figure?"

Alas, I've gotta admit I'd stand out in that boatie crowd :-(
