Hi Guys,
Myself and a couple of other 4x4's are heading up to Mount Cole (just out of
Ballarat VIC) and have some plans for some of the tracks.
1 track we're keen to
check out is the Manly Point Track but wondering if anyone has travelled up there recently and could advise on the conditions and what else should we
check out while we're up there.
Cheers

Manly Point track is a seasonly closed track, it was to be open in November 2006, contact DSE Beaufort on 03-5349-2404.. Sandy Pinch road is meant to very steep and with the rain in the last week could be interesting. Have a good stay in Mount Cole.
John.

Went upto Mount Cole and heaps of fun,
Most of the tracks are pretty
well cared for and we didn't have too much problems (not many rutts).
The Manly Point track was good fun but not to serious, these tracks must have been graded for the opening of the season. And best of all, the tracks were dry and even with the heavy rain hardly any water at all.
Nice place for some medium tracks and some great camping.
I'd say this is probably a better place for trail bikes, most of the tracks a pretty over grown with braken and having a late model 4x4 it gave the duco a fair working over.
Although the pine forest has some great rally tracks to open up the throttle on the dirt roads..
Cheers

I'm thinking of heading up there soon. Where are the good areas to
camp? Any other suggestions of good tracks?
Thanks.
