Hi All,
I am new here and would just like to say hello to all and say what a great site. I will be signing up for sure. Around July/August this year the missus and I will be setting off in our restored 1967 S2A Ex Army Land Rover Ambulance, hence the name.Obviously there is still a lot of planning ahead, bills to pay, and saving to be done.No doubt there will be plenty of questions to follow as well.At this stage we are looking just to tour around in a year going anti clockwise from Qld.So,once we are out and about , feel free to say hi.

Cheers
Paul

Mate, I found the title BloodBox a little disconcerting, if not downright (F. I've lost the word; ahh, 'confronting'), when one speaks of track travel. Read as far as '67 Landy, and lost the plot.

You, you poor simple soul! A big welcome for you and immediate entourage at our place any time. Leave the Landy at the gate (Quarantine zone, you see), and it's only a clik in from there.
P'raps you would care to expand, via Member Messages. (To join,$50 saja).
Your style is so good. If you're genuine, then you'll have a ball.
If you're a conman, (and your initial blurb strikes me as So good--.Journalistic even), then didi mau.
Your go. Jeff.

I spoke with a couple on the Canning Stock Route last year who were driving a 1971 petrol Land Rover.

We did a lot of our outback travels in a 1979 Landcruiser and a 1978 Nissan. Spent 5 years on the Wallaby towing a 27 footer caravan

Anti clockwise around the block will be better as when you get to the top of WA you should have a tailwind most of the time.

Maybe you should set 5 years aside to see most of the block. We have been travelling (off and on) for near on 40 years, and still have some places left to visit.

Enjoy
