dangerous damian,
seriously, there are many many good places in this grand country we live in. If you have plenty of time then my best advice would be take your time and enjoy as much as you can, drive safe and be prepared. That is it in a nutshell.

Keep to the left at all times, and be verry wary of "fritz in his Britz". They own both sides of the road, at the same time.

Damo

Walk around the camp site most nights, and ask people "where have you been?" "what's the best places to go?" "where should I go next" "would you like a beer?" etc. Best and most up to date travel info you can get.

The other piece of advice I would offer is - don't kid yourself you will see everything. You've only got one lifetime. You will have to learn to drive past heaps of beaut stuff - just try to work out how to choose.

Most of all - relax and have a ball. Don't even travel as fast as you normally would - its all much more fun at 20 km below the limit.

Enjoy!

Good advice Max

We spent 5 years on the wallaby and when driving very seldom got above 80kmh............but every now and then a steep downhill would have the 27 footer pushing us beyond the limit....lol

Hey Growler!
Picked up a copy of camps three about 6 months back and have put it to great use around the big V already. So many nice spots away from crowds. Hopefully we'll get up that far. Thanks for the tip!

Hey greg
No real time restraints as me and my girl have both thrown in our jobs. Planning to do a bit of work along the way. Hopefully some island work off cairns and maybe in perth as well. Picked up an old 83 troopy decked out with fridge, stove, bed etc as well as a pop top so the beast is un missable! If your heading down into vic, check out barwon heads, beaut spot where we grew up! See you on the road!!
