Hi Andy
Most cruise controls work in a similar way and the switch controls or I should say the functions are almost the same, providing they are a factory option not after market unit

There is a switch on the dash near the clock that has a small picture of a freeway with a bridge - this is the main switch that provides power - when on there is an orange light on.

Then when you have reached the speed you want you just push the left switch on the steering wheel - this is used to engage cruise - hold to increase speed or push to resume when you have disengaged cruise. The right switch on the steering wheel is to disengage the cruise when driving.

When the ignition has been turned off the memory clears so you need to reset when u have reached the spped u want to keep.

Hope this helps
