I have one. It is excellent. My dolphin torch is hardly being used for the campsite now. Although they say batteries last for about 6 hours, the LED's begin to dim slightly after 2. Make sure you get one with a 240v charger. Unsure how many charges the battery will last for.

Bloody marvelous,
$70 for a really good one ,,, white light, not blue
1 1/2 to gharge, 6 hr running

What attracted us to it was the fact that its fully portable and comes with a car charger

Cheers
Bucky

Phil, I have an Ironman Ultralight rechargeable now that has superbright LEDs and I would find life harder without it. Has a 240v recharger and 12v. Great to use.

Phil I purchased Iron Man today 2.8W rated, didn't even move the analogue amp meter when switched on. Older fluro drew 0.5 amps and the led seems to the naked eye to be 3-4 times brighter than fluro.

I got one recently from Adelaide Truck and 4wd Spares for $30+. Has a magnetic back so just clips onto the side of the truck, or on the inside of the tent. Its got a 6volt SLA battery inside. It came with 12v and 240volt chargers, which are pretty slow to charge (a few hours). It puts out about half as much light as a 13watt fluoro, but the light is pretty bright. I wired mine up so I can charge it from a computerised SLA battery charger.

Just keep it fully charged if you want the battery to last. But for the money, it looked good value.
