How come the operating instructions book that comes with the beast says not to install a front locker?
Doesn't make sense.
Cheers

Bugger, was thinking of putting a locker on it and was going to go the front before the back because the LSD on the back would be better than nothing on the front.
Beginning to think what the f..., just do it anyway as everything we look at doing is either illegal or would void insurance (ie 33" tyres, 2" lift etc).

Since when is a 2inch lift illegal or void insurance on a GU? and 33's just depends on what tire placard you have stuck on from what model ;)

Queensland regulations require that the bump stop clearance cannot be increased by more than one third. The clearance on a GU appears to be stuff all.
Happy for you tell me that I'm wrong!

Agreed, we certainly are not the smart state in that regard and excuse my ignorance, but what does NCOP and ROTFLMAO mean?
Thanks

I have an auto lokka in our '00 td42t front diff. No problems other than a bit harder to get out of 4wd at times, reversing turn steering wheel side to side a bit and out it comes. Mind you I haven't climbed the widow maker in it or comps etc.

There have been some issues with fitting auto lockers to GU's and still keeping the auto freewheeling hubs. If it were me, I would fit the locker but also fit manual hubs at the same time. I've got a rear air locker on my GQ, but in hindsight I wish I had fitted it to the front instead and kept the rear LSD.
Regards Andrew.
