Derek,
Im chasing some info regarding Motorbike batteries.
Do you deal in them and if not who would you recomend?
The battery I need is to suit a "73 FLH" Harley.( kick start)
I have a battery out of my other bike which I know is plenty big enough (93 FXR with electric start) but its huge and need to know what is the dimensions of the smallest battery I can use and still be practical. Im hoping there is new technology out there somewhere which will let me fit a smaller battery to do the same job. (maybe)
Cheers
Hairy

Hi Hairy
Sorry I don't do the small ones.
If you can send me some dimentions I will go through my list of AGM sizes and see what I can order in for you.
I would also need to know approx amps needed.
Regards
Derek.

Try here:
www.odysseybatteries.com/batteries.htm
Good AGM batteries, long service life, and made for Harley's specifically, simply find the reight sized one. Not the cheapest of options, but probably your best option (should last 10-12 years, vs 3-5 for wet cell and 5-8 yrs for normal AGM, needs to be taken into account when weighing up costs)
Far superior performance to wet cells.
Might need to look for an Australian distributor, but a Harly retailer would certainly point you in the right direction as they are quite popular with owner/riders.

Hi Hairy
Motorbike batteries normally fit to cradle of bike eg 500 bike models and 490 sizes of batteries. On side of battey should have number eg yb14a-a2 for want of a number it means brand , amphr and terminal type fitment and drain position.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Charlie
