I couldn't stand it any longer driving around with OME heavy duty constant 200kg springs in the back without a load. I put a softer spring in. Lost a little height but vehicle is basically level and the ride is so much nicer. For the sake of an hour, if i need the heavy duty springs for a trip I can pop them back in. I may look at air bags so I then would have the best of both worlds.

Hi Leroy
Keep working on it and you will get back to the superior characteristics of standard Nissan springs (with the odd spacer for height control) .

funny you say that because when I first picked up the patrol I had it for a week before it got lifted and went for a play up at Toolangi. I thought the std
suspension articulated extremely
well. But when you add a steel bar, winch etc the std front springs need uprating.

Good thinking Leroy on Toolangi , took my car to rocky track day I got it and said to it "This is your life".
Extra load is only valid reason I feel for getting heavy duty, have upset the odd person with heavy springs buy running there car up on my ramp and without load articulation is generally worse.
Nissan can afford to use tapered rods in there springs which aftermarket can not and this gives great feel.
Always wanted longer springs , but softer so as to maintain same spring rate but alas no one makes them , so stick to standard with spacers to optimize longer shocks.

Up there around Xmas , was still there although from bottom all the big rocks are gone and was graded but still with hand sized rocks , and my car with its road tyres on slipped around , so maybe not as hard but still worthwhile.
