I am now Exploroz's newest member. I have been using the site for a couple of years.

I am having trouble uploading photos onto my rig page though. I have dial up and it says it will take about 20 minutes to upload one photo but it never seems to finish the job. Any know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
Barnesy

Welcome aboard

Try reducing the size of the photo it may upload quicker

Cheers Kev

How do you reduce the size of the photos? Can't seem to be able to do it.
Sorry I'm new to the world of digital photos.

Barnsey.

I keep my Digipix in folders, & when I want to resize them for Exploroz I make a new folder for the small photos.

Open the photo that you want to resize & right click the mouse.
Select Edit.
Select Image.
Click on Stretch/Skew.
Reduce the horizontal/vertical dimensions to suit the new photo.
When you happy with the size, then click OK.
"Save as" the photo to the new folder.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to ya Barnesy, I've had trouble also uploading photo's, the other replies are right I believe, tis the size of the product that makes all the difference.

Barnesy
Welcome to the ranks
Your problem uploading the photo's might be that fact that it's dial up, but then there are others that use dial without too many hitches, as the other post said the photo could be too big, I make mine about 92kb for the 12 photo page and for the little one you see in the bottom left now is just 51.3kb, Try that mate and see if it is any quicker.

Barnesy ,

Welcome . I open my photos in Photoshop and click on "Save a copy for the Web" . It makes it much smaller , but if that is not small enough then you can downsize it again right there before you actually save it . I get them down to 50 kb to make them load .

There is probably easier ways , but that's the way my son showed me !

Cheers

"I have been using the site for a couple of years."

I have heard you croweaters are slow on the uptake of something good LOL!!!
I hope you get your rig pics uploaded quicker than your membership leadtime hehehe. On this site size is everything............smaller is better LOL!! (I'm talking photo's)

Welcome aboard, Trevor.
