Kevin, we have just spend a couple of days in
Denmark, end jan 07. stayed @
rivermouth caravan park, fairly close to town. point, front toilets etc are Ok, back ones are new, better. other c/van park that is Ok,
ocean beach caravan park. probably 3km out of town on the road to
Ocean beach. we did not fish, but understand u can fish in the inlet, but need a boat.
ocean beach seems ok, but away from the surf club, far end of the beach. attractions, mainly wineries, some good scenery, not sure about 4WD tracks. good luck. Tom

I'm sure lots of people will know more about the place than me, but we stopped off for lunch there in 2002 when travelling back towards
Adelaide, and in no time had over a dozen good size bream - some double headers. I think we were at rocks at a beach to the west of the river outlet (where a local said fishing was also dynamite at times). We really enoyed ourselves at
Albany too. Good luck. JD

A bit out of town, but the public
campsite at Parry beach is fantastic and some reasonable fishing to be had (sand whiting are particularly good).
Services are limited but it has hot showers, toilets, etc. Also plan to spend a day at
Greens Pool as it is beautiful too.
Matt.

Kevin
Easter at
Denmark will be crowded, unless you get there wednesday or thursday
places like the town caravan parks, parry beach will be full.
I tried about 3 years ago going down on the good friday to find a place and everything was full.
Ded find though between walpole &
denmark a small camping ground called
Boat Harbour. Very reasonable rates (about $6 per night, might have gone up by now) for straight camping. It is about 5km drive to the beach though from the camping ground.
Hope this helps
Alan

Hi Kevin,
I'd go a bit farther and stay in
Albany much better place called Rose gardens at
Emu point, tell em you've got a dog and they'll put you right on the beach {beautiful spot} good fishing too, in
Denmark there's a beach called Elephant rocks {they look like elephants in the sea} that was quite good but from Alabany there's loads of bay's and beaches to fish,
enjoy,
Dave

Hi Kevin,
Regardless of where you decide to stay in
Denmark I would advise booking now.
Denmark at
Easter is chock full of tourists & holidaymakers.
Easter Market is not to be missed and there are plenty of other attractions within an hours drive. (Tree Top Walk, Cheese Factory, plenty of wineries to sample).
West Cape Howe Nat Park is an interesting 4wd track.
Try googling "
Denmark WA" for other interesting
places to go and things to do.
Yes it can be cool and sometimes wet at
Easter but being prepared for the weather is part of camping.
Cheers
Disco
