We have a couple of auction holidays at C/Bay & Pt Lincoln (3 nights at each), arrive C/Bay Sat, fishing all day Sunday, Monday free, then to Pt Lincoln Tues, leaving there on the Friday morning. Not much time.
Can anyone suggest a few must sees at each place in the short time we have. Dont want to be doing huge mileage.
Regards

I always try a Google search as my first point of call (if I'm not familiar with an area). You know best what your interests are. You won't have to do huge mileages - unless you want to.
Have a look at the following:

Nice drive through the Sleaford - Wanna dunes to Memory Cove (key access needed for the cove).
A great drive is The Whalers Way, can be done in a 2WD, was a little bit pricey IMO, but the
views are great.

Sure, Monday 4WD North side of
Coffin Bay National Park at least past
Seven Mile Beach to
Morgans Landing. Brochure & maps available Ph. 08-8688-3111
Port Lincoln Office, 75 Liverpool Street (they'll mail them to you) or www.environment.sa.gov.au/parks/
Take note of tide times for
Seven Mile Beach, low tide only. The access track is sandy patches & limeston patches. It is hard to decide if to lower tyre pressures for sand or raise them for
limestone. Or up & dow evety 200 meters. Your choice.
On wednesday or Tursday 4WD
Lincoln National park Memory Cove Wilderness Area. This is the bottom 1/2 of the
Park and you need a key from the
Port Lincoln Tourist Bureau 66 Tasman Terrace Ph. 08-8683-3544 as access is limited to only a few vehicles per day (returnable deposit for key). Go to Memory Cove for picnic lunch - approx 50km (1.5 hrs) from Pt. Lincoln. Brochure with maps available.
The Seahorse
Farm formerly at Pt. Lincoln has now moved to
Port Adelaide.
If you love Oysters the place to get them fresh & cheap is at Turners Aquaculture at
Cowell, about 100 meters off the Pt. Lincoln to
Whyalla Highway. The oysters from the oyster farms at
Coffin bay all go there too, i that makes sense, which it doesn't - not to me anyway. If you are a gourmet also ask Lincoln to mail you the Seafood and Aquaculture Trail brochure or www.tep.com.au
Enjoy!
P.S. Depending on when you go inquire at
Whyalla about the cuttle fish spectacular (just North of
Whyalla near Stoney Point -
camping available but don't know the quality of the sites)
