2.8 Intercooled pajero

I would like to know your thoughts on the use of a 2800 intercooled turdo diesel Pajero as a tow vehicle for a 1.4 tonne tamdum axle caravan.

Used to regulary tow a 1.2t van with my 96 2.8l ITD.

No problems, just don't expect to easily sit on 100 to 110k all the time. :o)

Sits on 90/95 in 5th most of the time.

Keep the engine on 2300/2500 min revs. Seems to be a sweet spot.
Work it between 2300/3100 revs.

Drop to 80/85 in 4th on the steeper hills.

Have gone down to 3rd / 60k on steep hils like the toowoomba range amd the Gap.

Max I have towed is 2.3t.

Make sureyour fuel filter and air filters are clean.
Can loose a bit of power with dirty filters.
