That is just sensational. Is it one shot or a number stitched together? Who took it?
I am awestruck.

Dunc, he actually does say the original post that the comet is there, and it is, but Brian, please, please tell us where the shot came from. You don't actually say that it is your shot, I haven't seen it anywhere else. Please, please, tell us. I would love to know whether or not it is stitched. Forumite Andrew W. from Vivid Adventures is pretty good on this sort of stuff. Andrew are you following this thread, what do you reckon? The range of contrasts in the sky plus the curvature in the foreground makes me think it is stitched, then adjusted in PS. Stitched or not, it is fantastic either way.

I read on another site that the photo was taken in Perth north of Hillary's Marina. Those local will probably know the spot.

Brian, could you ask your mate if this is one shot with a wideangle lens, or one shot from a panoramic camera or a composite stitched together and whatever it is, has it been adjusted in Photoshop to even out the tones. That shot is worth serious $. Whoever owns it should make sure it is copyrighted immediately. If they have no other plans for the shot, contact The Australian newspaper where they have a library of high impact Oz photos that they sell and pay quite good fees to the owner. Check the Australian online for samples. Other forumites who like Australiana might like to check the Australian collection also.
