Interesting observation.
Out of curiosity how can you tell that from the photo's. I've got no idea how to tell stuff like that, even yesterday when I was standing beside it!!

just look at the pic and you can see from the colour of the vehicles metal , as to were the fire intensity was. My guess , from the pic , fire started in the back seat . Also looks like the fire had plenty of air from the rear of the vehicle , like a rear tail gate open ,

Ok , he didnt have a fire Extinguisher . Whats wrong with the sand thats around him and of course no one had a bucket , as there was water in miles lol

I wouldn't read too much into the tyre bead wire being inside the cab.
At a guess it was thrown in after the fire. The two left hand rims are missing, I'd say whoever took the rims tossed the wire inside the vehicle.

I didn't know until yesterday those little blighters have drum brakes on the rear! Or at least this one did!!
