Voxson,
I recall that recently you were able to help a bloke resize a
pic for inclusion on the MY RIG section.
To help us - SA- win, I wish to insert the only
pic I have on my PC. Trouble is , it's huge. 1.34MB, I think. Michelle Jacka says it can only be 50 KB.
Can you advise me on how to reduce the file size?
I have Adobe Illustrator 10, ArcSoft Photo Studio 2000 & MGI Photo Suite 8.06 on my PC
You may wish to hit me off line at rmoore@iprimus.com.au. - & that way the interstaters won't get any advantage of your local knowledge.
Thanks in advanceRick (S.A.) - dreaming & planning are half the fun.....doing isn't so bad either!

Rick, Try saving your photo in JPEG format. This should reduce the size of the
pic. Go to FILE, click on Save As. A dialog box should appear at the bottom of the window with bitmap, jpg, jpeg or others in it. Click on JPEG and then click Save. Should work. Hey, I am only a novice at this.Cheers, Willem

Thanks Willem,
would not have thought of that. Trouble is, it's already Jpeg. Good try anyhow.

Goto
http://kickme.to/fosi/
Download and install THUMBS + Reboot puter.
Open Thumbs, and then Open the image with Thumbs + and press R. You will see in this window the size of your image, change it to what you like and save. When you save it gives options of compression 4:1 on image....
Thats what I use.
