With the fires in Victoria and a lot of the tracks still closed, trips that I would have been doing now have been cancelled.
Great, some time at
home on the weekends and tidy up the 75 Series before I sell it.Then I get an email form Vic about the trip to Tasmania starting this weekend.
No need to pack the Troopie as I will be picked up in a new Mini and taken to
Melbourne. There I have the use of a diesel X5 for the next 2 weeks running around Tasmania.
There will be 12 other brightly coloured Mini's that I will be following so this is not going to be a 4WD trip but a lot of fun.

In my younger days when the mini (the car not the dress) was the vehicle to drive, my Dad had a Hillman Imp.
Everybody had a Mini I had to drive my Dad's Hillman Imp. The good thing about it, there was a little more room in the back.

We were going to be on that trip with our own MINI but unfortunately had just booked a trip to Canada for skiing. Sounds like a fantastic trip just reading the itinerary so let us know how it goes. Very jealous that we wont be there
