Can anyone tell me about the motors on the HZJ 4.2 ltr deisels. i have one in my ute, someone told me that these motors have problems with heads. So any feed back would be appreciated.

AFAIK, stock standard and serviced 1HZzzzz have no problems with heads.
Add a turbo and give it a hard time, and you can crack the precombustion chambers.
And if you never
check the valve clearances, they can close up and burn a valve.
Look after it, and they go a long time.

they crack heads when overheated fairly common on exploration vehicles with holed radiators driven by dumn fieldies and underground utes coz the radiators are chocked full of mud - Just operator abuse not a fault
