Nissan Terrano II turbo diesel

Symptoms: lack of power without increase in smoke. Drives like a normally aspirated 4 cyl diesel? Really gutless?

I have had to replace mine due to oil contamination from an oiled air filter. What model is you Air Mass Meter? There were Hitachi and Bosch.
You may be able to resurrect it by pulling it out and spraying it with contact cleaner or carbie cleaner but let it dry before reinstalling.
The Bosch one has a Ni$$an part No. and a Bosch part No. moulded into the side. Nissan will charge a fortune, the Bosch one will be about $400 cheaper. That’s a lot for a small cardboard box. Treat them carefully as they don’t like being dropped either.
