GU 2.8 head gasket

Hi all
Well it seems its a 99.9% change that the head gasket is gone on my car, possible head damage as
well but wont know until it is stripped down. Now as we all know this is going to be a big $$$$$ exercise. What upsets me is this has happened 8 weeks outside warranty. So on the off chance I call the car yard and explain that I understand thier legal responsibility's have ended but what about moral responsibility's. To my surprise they were really shocked and understanding and asked me to bring the car back ASAP and that they feel really bad and not to worry they will assist in the cost of repair. Now I don't know at this stage as to how far this will extend but it is a good start. Hope to hear the full extent of the damage in the next day or two. So heres hopin!!!.

I don't mind most used car salesmen - they usually know how to get things fixed at a good price. And for the sake of a few phone calls, they can do you a big favour.

I am jsut glad the have a good rep in the market place, not fly by nighters. Not a brand used lot just a little lot that sells 4x4's only and has done for years. They have ALOT of repeat business....now I know why.

from what I have read here about Nissan warranty.....I am glad I didn't have to call them!! lol

Good and bad news for you I guess, I nearly fell off my chair when I read about the dealer! Will be doing the 200k back
home on thursday night.......will be interesting to see if my bubbles return.......I Still think about the 6.5 option every day......I wish Roachie would change his signiture
