ok, well it does a different function as the search on the Forum header searches the Forum and archive. Think it may add to some confusion as to where you search.

As WaynePD stated, this is what we are seeing (after refreshing, closing browser, waiting etc), myself on 1680x1050, 120dpi:

96dpi setting will fix the problem on EO, however it kills everything else i enjoy :-) I realise that i can increase the fonts on the forum area, however the rest of the site is very small due to my screen settings. :-( Can you suggest anything else to get around the problem as i prefer to run some specialised mapping programs at my original settings?

David, the "Denco Diesel" advertisement seems to be the only ad that will overlay on top of the menus, whereas the others hide behind as they should.

Leave it with me - I will see why this setting only appears to effect the menu code. and not the rest of the display. I am sure I can solve it I just need to determine exactly who, what and where the problem is. I will setup a test machine tomorrow the 120dpi and have a play. If I can solve it you will hopefully see it fixed automatically.

I retract that retraction lOL

the ad with the purple background that talks about 100 series and other stuff seems to sit on top of the dropdown box from the search.....

Wayne,
Are you using a setting other than 96dpi for the system See Control Panel - Display - Settings - Advanced - General tab - DPI setting.

Wayne are you only seeing the error when you open the search box or is the menu always going over the sides of the screen.

Sorry David I had to go to work.
The only one that affects the search box is when the Denco Sponsor Ad is in the top position or the second position. The other sponsor ads are fine.

My setting is 96dpi

Waynepd - Ad problem with the Denco and other flash ads should now be solved. I assume you are using Firefox as your browser as this is the only one that exhibited the issue (I think).

No, both Firefox and IE have the same behaviour (well on my system :-))

Novel idea to fix the problem with the ad ;-)

ment to add that Novel idea to fix the problem would be to not allow the flash ad to appear in the first two positions on the column ;-)

Though i don't think that this may be acceptable to sponsors somehow....
