G'day fello 4x4ers.... Heading off on our trip up north soon, just wondering when is the right time to replace fan belts etc...? i have a 03 GU ute. and how much does it cost for all belts...?

I would replace them all and hoses before I go, keep the old ones for spares. Not sure of costs, sorry.

Whats the rush..
Mine are all orginal on my '90 GQ. Don't know if the GU is the same, but on
mine if either belt breaks I won't lose the
water pump- one I lose power steering, the other the alternator, ie: I'd be able to continue a little while with either broken.
Carry spares but don't bother replacing till they start to look sad.

BTW, all my hoses are original too!
Not a hell of a lot of kilometres, but 16 1/2 years old!
