Does anyone know if it is possible to take motor and gear box out in one piece or do i have to split them,some of you old fellas must remember 1983 LOL

MQ dunno but done cruisers of that era(and later and a beep load of cars) with no probs.
Can`t see it being a prob just put it up on ramps to get a better swing angle.

It wasn't much of an issue to split them when I had an MQ - so much so that I took the motor out to change the clutch rather than get under and muck around with jacks etc to get the box out......however on the GU i hate doing anything from the top - wires and hoses etc going everywhere....

Have fun.....what is going in to replace it

Standard SD33 Andrew,rolled my old one awhile back.Motor has only done 10,000 klicks since complete rebuild,so have a rolling chassis to put my motor in,just wonderin the easiest way to do it
