ABC News this morning reports that inflation is running at 1600% in Zimbabwe.
Unleaded petrol is selling for AUD$25 per litre!!!!
So we better not complain about our measly $1.20 per litre
Cheers

Hey Blue Eyes!
Anyone with 2 x 100 series LC's including a brand newie can afford high fuel prices. So even at those inflated prices you will be OK.
Mr. Eleventy and me will suffer tho...................

Perhaps you should move back to Africa Willem and bootleg petrol across the borders!

Considerably less than here. AFAIK it was around 20c but they upped it around 10c or so and the locals weren't happy. Diesel in the "stans" was also extremely
cheap when I last looked...probably a bit higher now. There's a lot to be said for being able to buy cheap fuel, but there's no way I could actually live there.
Seems to me anyone living in travelling in Zimbabwe might have bigger problems than the price of diesel at the moment ?

According to this report 95 octane petrol sells for 16c a litre. Don't think diesel is much different ;-(

Hi, I was in Zimbabwe last year (June_July) when inflation was "only" 1200%! Not only the cost of fuel excessive, but actually getting it. Many gas stations permanently closed and we had to wait two days before our first supply, not only hampered by shortages, but by daily power cuts limiting the ability to actually serve it. And, yes, at an exchange rate of around 450000 Z$ to the AUD, we had to take the money in a cardboard box. SO, lucky country Oz, I LOVE YOU.

The worst part is that, the dollar you state is our dollar,,
How much is AUD$25 worth in Zimbabwe
Must be ONE of the countries that our dollar is worth more, don't you think
Me think we are on a pretty good thing
Regards
Richard

Tis a sad place
And to think that Ausatralia played its great role through
Malcolm Fraser and others in getting rid of the Ian Smiths 'Regime' and installing Robert Mugabe as Zimbabwe's saviour.
