Just confirming, does the XGT 240 fit onto a genuine GU bar? And what is the most cost effective way to improve the high beam? (aside from d. lights)

They fitted on my GU Steel Bar,, but i had to redrill a coupla new holes a little forward of the originals so the top of the lights would miss the top bar..
And those Crystal Vision replacement bulbs are pretty good made by Phillips...

Same here.....as far as the XGTs goes anyway.

With the headlights, I went down the track of fitting HID kit from Xenonoz. Expensive but worth it IMHO

two quesions:
1. The replacment globe is better than the original (I'm not complaining about the light output I have now!)
2. you can fit HID fitments to them! How much did it cost and who does it?

Thanks,

costs vary from $150 to 600
who does it ? You do it yourself, you buy the HID kits, and Bushy555 on Outerlimits has the instructions.

He also sells the kits, has some great 50w HID kits and knows EVERYTHING about converting XGT's and others to HID

Mine fit great, I just turned the bases around on the brackets and viola NO REDRILLING, easy as 1 2 umm oh yes 3.

I fitted 100/130w H4 globes to the headlights made a heap of differnce, also wired hi and lo beam up thru seperate relays.

One option NOT to try when doing a headlight upgrade are the IPF Fatboy globes. IMHO they are no better than the Phillips 20% plus globes that I replaced them with. Phillips $40 pair. Fatboys $150 pair. You don't ALWAYS get what you pay for....lol
