I heading up to the Cape in June with a CT.for 3mths. Should I lash out and go new after market ones or will the old factory ones with 100,000klms up do the job?

I'd be putting something good on all round, and take the originals as spares (seeing they have done a fair bit already) - its more than likely you will need them !! If the trailer has shocks, don't forget a spare or two for that as
well. Seems that any shock is 90% of the battle - doesn't have to be super-duper - even plain (non-gas) dampers can perform
well enough (given fair treatment).
