With the newly released NS Pajero hitting the roads, it was about time someone showed some extreme 4wding with the beast. Gone are the days of the Pajero being considered tame.....Watch out for those
creek crossings!

I am glad that was a test vehicle,,,, i would shudder to think about taking a car you actually owned through such rough terrain....
And they crossed that
creek without any assistance from
water blinds or snorkels...
Must have a lot of faith in their product...
Thanks for showing us that clip...

I dunno you guysare hard to please - if it ha shown it going through 1.5 m of
water then flogging through tackless country getting 2m of air as it crested the dunes someone would whinge it was encouraging stupid driving.
Thought it promoted the Paj as an outback tourer which it would be ideal for

I would have liked to see it go through a
water crossing to its deeper abilty... At least 600mm would have been nice...

Another example of the speed at which global warming is affecting the climate - between the time the initial post was made and when I viewed the video the
creek had almost dried up. Bugger (woops)
Cheers

guys please be careful using the word extreme when talking about videos like that, most of that could have been done in a commodore or falcon.
water crossing you mean puddle crossing. i have to agree the pajero was in the bush offroad but it wasn't really in 4wd country. maybe the company should spent more money and go somewhere like the cape or
simpson desert to prove the quality of their vehicle.
but that is just my say

I think you will find that myself, and more than likely others, were just having a tongue in cheek moment....I'm almost sure most would agree that this was not extreme, which is in fact some of the problem.
I don't mind the current ads on TV depicting the Paj driving through the high country, in the outback, cruising through a nice stream etc, yet this is just too tame to be considered serious. It may be the actual point that the presenter (?) was trying to portray.
Correct me if i'm wrong, this video is a test drive done through Drive.com and is not conducted by Mitsubishi per se.

I have taken my Pajero to it's extreme if that answers your question.
I have seen many times the situation where "it's not about the vehicle, rather the driver" :-) Of course there are better 4wds for extreme 4wding, just that they are absolutely terrible for black-top use....
The point i have made is that to promote a 4wd's off-road styling with 2cm of
water is a joke.....probably the intention of the review ;-)
