Hi,

I read about the radiator shroud lugs being to long and causing holes. Can anyone tell me were the lugs are, do I have to remove the shroud to see them or are they visible looking in from the fan???

Thanks

Shroud needs to come off. I think the GU has a removable section at the bottom from memory so it's easier than it first looks. Might be wrong though.

You're quite right about the removable section of shroud. Once it's off, the lugs can be seen easily enough from underneath. Not easy to get at them from underneath, though. Many things in the way.........

You're right it is a problem.

Post 39734 explains the situation this problem left me in. Worthwhile fixing it before it leaves you stranded.

Cheers Trevor.

Thanks Trevor,

I've had a look in from the fan entry and the only lugs I can see are about 1/3 in from each end and a little over 1/2 way down. These ones are clear by a fair bit. Would they be the ones in question or do I really need to remove the shroud to see them.

Austravel,

That'll be them. They're just outside the arc of the fan, and are the only lugs on the inside of the shroud.
