My brother is a member of the Ipswich club which isn't that far from you.. they have a fair few members and do a fair bit of touring.. I don't know too much about the more challenging things but it would be worth a call for you.. sorry i don't have their phone number but i am sure it is on the Qld four wheel drive association website..

Ipswich 4x4 club meets the FIRST Tuesday of the month at the RSL Services club Downstairs function room in Nth Ipswich. Corner of Downs and Lowry St Nth Ipswich.
I don't have a contact number for them I would post on the web.
They are into a bit of everything, mainly touring and camping, but there is a hardcore element in there as well so there is something for most.

I have been looking at joining one around Brissie for a while now, let me know how you go and I might join there as well if it's good.

Qld Nissan Patrol Club meeets Mt Gravatt Showground 7-45pm tonight. Every 3rd Monday night in the month.
About to go to the meeting myself.
Don't let the club name put you off - president has a L/C. Other commitee members have range of cruisers, trolls, even one land rover. All trips are graded, but generally graded in view of what a patrol is capable of doing.
Msg me if you want more info.
Andrew.

I am a member of the Caloundra City 4x4 Club for anyone who is sort of up our way.. We have members ranging from around Burpengary up to around Noosa and have a great time off roading, camping and socialising..

You can have a look at our club web site at www.cc4wdclub.org.au

Well worth a look as there is a great bunch of four wheelers who get together and have heaps of good times..

Cheers

Check out the above site. Will have all member clubs listed. Then just ring to see whether they do any hard stuff. Some do, some don't.

Most clubs will welcome new comers. est is to go along to a few events/meetings trips if they will let you and see which one appeals the most. Each club is a little different and you often find there is a fair portion of the members within a particular age group, this often dictates the type of comps or trips the club does.

If you try a few you'll find a group who have a similar interest to you and you'll love it
