You don't seem to have had any replies.
Was down it a couple of years ago to Merty Merty and no permissions required as far as I know.
It was in good condition then, but it had been recently graded.
Had problems keeping up with a 3.0l patrol sitting on 110.
Ended up letting it go, and enjoyed the scenery at a slower speed.
Find it a lot more interesting then the usual run down the new Strezlecki.
I would try ringing
Innamincka Trading Post on 08 8675 9900.
You most probably will be calling in there for fuel.
Or Camerons Corner on 08 80913872 if you are coming back that way.

I'm no help sorry bit off topic, "Old Stzrelecki Track" do I assume that this was the first and the current one has been made in a differnt location?. Or are you talking the same track ?

Brian.
The original track followed the creek to the east. The new track goes via Moomba.
Just a track I have not been on yet.
Tends to be like a highway on the
Birdsville & Stzrelecki these days.

Agree with Oldplodder. We went down it from
Innamincka to Camerons Corner last April. It was more enjoyable than the "new" Stzrelecki track, which is an all-weather road but has a rougher, stony surface. The Old Stzrelecki is sandy and smoother, but would be more affected by wet weather. No permissions are required afaik.

Geez, Wim our info is out of date but had puddles back then in June '05. Hope you guys are
well. The Old Strzelecki is only short and didn't require any permits.

John.
Thanks for that.
Have you guys got any of that wet stuff (rain???) yet?
Are you traveling this season?
We are looking at adding this onto our
Hay river trip. As usual the weather will have the last say as to our exact itinerary.
Say hi to Heather for us.

Wim, had three inches at the start of the month but the heat since ahr deplete much of the benefit we had then. Heather reads here so has read the comment thank, she writes occasionally with the Moses nondeplume, subverting the name of the ute.
How far South will your
Hay trip extend mate? I have sent a MM to tell you of some of our timings. We do note you haven't got to the coast yet this way. Regards
