garden hose jack

Long Long time ago I read something on here about a bloke who had designed a way to use a garden hose to wind down the Jacks on his caravan I have just done a search on here but cant seem to find anything.My mate has done his back in and it nearly kills him when he has to bend down to crack his jack handle if anyone can rememeber where when or how this one done I would appreciate any info.

Cut the cranked section off & then use a cordless drill!

Shaker I seen that done a while back in one of the Flinders rangers caravan parks.
A older guy rocked up , he backed up , got it spot on first try.

Ten minutes later was set up with a beer.

Battery drill did the job .He had been there done that a few times.

Not in to the caravan scene but can you purchase a hydraulic version? Or perhaps 4 cheaper hydraulic bottle jacks. Take longer but would be less effort?

Yep the 4 hydraulic bottle jacks is the way to go, and your van is rock solid and takes very little extra time and so much less effort. You can get Hydraulic corner steadies but they are not cheap and tend to become "clunky" after a while, however they are supremely convenient as the pumping is done from the control station on the draw bar...
